Summer fun: The joys of a baseball parent I know when it all started. It was just a little past 3:30, Friday afternoon, 16 August 1991. My son, Ryan, came into the world. When my husband was elated him in his arms, I could hear him whisper to him about growing up and taught him such as baseball, golf, and hundreds of other dreams, the play flowing from the mouth of the parents, after he witnessed the miracle of birth.
