Is there a rule about how far a flag placement should be on the edge of a golf green?
I am working on a golf course, and neither I, the golf shop or my boss knows the answer to our revised rule this.w book, but found nothing.
As far as I can tell, there there are no illegal drilling locations. However, if I am there in your place, I would like some local rules that would be mandated and written for all to see. For example, here are some rules of common sense that I think we should obey. The hole should be at least one club (eg putter) length from the edge of the green. The hole should never be on a hill, where the green drops placed in all directions away from the hole. The hole should not be placed in a low area where the ball is likely to be rolled into the hole from every direction. etc.
