Arizona Winter Trip Tips – From the Gulf to Cart
Do you have a desire to travel this winter, but not sure how things work? How about a place explore where they find great hiking, golfing, skiing, shopping and ruins? And drive, all within a few hours of one another? Of course, this place is Arizona, a State offers travelers an endless number of things to do to in winter.
Hiking
Superstition Mountains: One of the best places for winter hiking in Arizona is the Superstition Mountains, east of Apache Junction, which is east of Phoenix. They are best known for the legendary Lost Dutchman Mine. The legend says that The Mine of Jacob Waltz (the Dutchman discovered), still contains a large stockpile of gold. With 32 walks and 4 lifts, The Arizona Snowbowl is one of the oldest continually run ski areas in the United States. When snowboarding is more your style, they also offer a fun park with rails and boxes.
Exploring Native American Ruins
You can make a whole vacation in Arizona is in ruins ruins plan, but if you're visiting Phoenix and then one day, you should be about an hour and a half drive north on the I-17 to Montezuma Castle, a five-story, 12 Century cliff dwelling, the Sinagua people Residential use. The Scottsdale Arts District in downtown Scottsdale With one of the largest concentration of galleries in the nation, with a variety of art, including contemporary, Western and Indian art.
Arizona may also qualify for some of the best antique malls in the country, including the Brass Armadillo in 12,419 N. 28. Drive in Phoenix, where you can walk for hours the rows of antiques and collectibles. And, Glendale, a small town west of Phoenix, has so many antique shops in the city that are so-called "Arizona's Antique Capital "by the readers of local newspapers. Serious Antiques will devote a full day discovering the treasures of downtown Glendale.
Of course, The above is only a few of the things in Arizona in the winter. If you are not all in a winter weekend, there's always Spring!
